SharePoint Document Maker can use and reuse content stored in SharePoint lists to generate documents such as invoices, contracts, reports, proposals and more, thereby reducing a user’s workload, ensure document accuracy and decrease human error. Users first create templates, insert fields and create rules to produce the basic document framework which is used to generate the document. Users then can choose to generate individual documents with one list item or merge multiple list items into one document. Naming schemes can be used to automatically name documents using metadata in list or customized text. Distribution rules help users determine if documents are automatically saved as attachments to corresponding items, saved to the document library or saved to an automatically created folder. Document Maker can generate documents into four formats, Docx, Doc, PDF and XPS.
