Managing Cascaded Lookup App Subscription

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for managing your Cascaded Lookup App subscription, including checking your subscription status, renewing or purchasing a subscription, and updating your subscription details after purchase.

1. Cascaded Lookup Settings Panel

The Cascaded Lookup Settings Panel is the central hub for managing your subscription. To access it:

  1. Navigate to the list command bar in your SharePoint Online environment.
  2. Click on the Cascaded Lookup Settings command to open the panel.

2. Subscription Status

The Subscription Status message is located at the top of the Cascaded Lookup Settings panel. It provides an overview of your current subscription status and is clickable for more details.

Key Features of Subscription Status

  • Clickable Message: Click the status message to access more details or take action (e.g., renewing your subscription).
  • Clear Indicators: Easily understand whether your subscription is active or not.
  • Remaining Days: For valid subscriptions, it shows the number of days left, helping you track and plan accordingly.

Status Types

  1. Valid Subscription (Active)
    • Status: Active and in good standing.
    • Message: "Your subscription will expire in [X] days."
    • Example: "Your subscription will expire in 343 days."

    • Action: No immediate action is required. Track the remaining days to plan for renewal.
    • Visibility: If the subscription is about to expire in more than 30 days, the Subscription Status message is hidden. To check the remaining days, hover your mouse over the Subscription Status message area to reveal the message.

  2. Invalid Subscription (Expired or Inactive)
    • Status: Not active or expired.
    • Message: "Your subscription is invalid."
    • Action: Renew or purchase a new subscription to continue using the app.

  3. Near Expiry (Within 30 Days)
    • Condition: If the subscription is about to expire within 30 days, the status updates daily to show the remaining days.
    • Message: "Your subscription will expire in [X] days."
    • Example: "Your subscription will expire in 28 days."

    • Action: Renew your subscription promptly to avoid service interruption.
    • Visibility: The Subscription Status message will always be visible and update daily to show the remaining days.

3. License Information Dialog

Clicking the Subscription Status message opens the License Information Dialog, which displays detailed information about your subscription:

  1. Days Until Expiration:
  2. The number of days remaining before your subscription or trial version ends.

    Example: "Your subscription will expire in 28 days."

  3. Tenant ID:
  4. The unique identifier for your tenant (organization).

    Example: "Tenant ID: ae586225-a936-4e32-b424-6a57e257cf0c."

  5. Site ID:
  6. The unique identifier for the site where the subscription is applied.

    Example: "Site ID: {de258c08-e07d-4068-8f3d-8d60589cb555}."

  7. Site URL:
  8. The URL of the site associated with the subscription.

    Example: "Site URL: https://your-site.sharepoint.com."

  9. Product:
  10. The name of the product or service covered by the subscription.

    Example: "Product: Cascaded Lookup 1.3.0.1105."

  11. License Type:
  12. The type of license associated with the subscription, which may be a Trial, Site, or Tenant license, depending on your purchase or subscription plan.

    Example: "License Type: Tenant."

  13. Expiration Date:
  14. The date when the subscription will expire.

    Example: "Expiration Date: 04/01/2025."

4. Renewing or Purchasing a Subscription

If your subscription is about to expire or has expired, follow these steps to renew or purchase a new subscription:

Step 1: Open the Cascaded Lookup Settings Panel

  1. Navigate to the list command bar in your SharePoint Online environment.
  2. Click on the Cascaded Lookup Settings command to open the panel.

Step 2: Check Subscription Status

  1. At the top of the panel, locate the Subscription Status message.
  2. Click on the message to open the License Information dialog.

Step 3: Initiate Purchase

  1. In the License Information dialog, find the Product row.
  2. Click the Buy now icon (shopping bag icon) at the end of the row.

Step 4: Visit the Product Page

  1. You will be redirected to the BoostSolutions Cascaded Lookup App for SharePoint Online product page: https://www.boostsolutions.com/cascaded-lookup-app-for-office-365.html.
  2. On the product page, click the Buy Now button.

Step 5: Complete Your Purchase

  1. You will be taken to the Licenses & Plans page:https://www.boostsolutions.com/purchase.html?product_id=87.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.

Alternative Option: Contact Sales

If you prefer to handle the renewal or purchase via email:

  1. Send an email to sales@boostsolutions.com.
  2. Include the following details in your email:
    • Site URL
    • Site ID
    • Tenant ID
  3. The BoostSolutions team will assist you with the subscription or renewal process.

5. Updating Subscription Status After Purchase

After completing your purchase, follow these steps to update and verify your subscription status:

Step 1: Open the License Information Dialog

  1. Navigate to the Cascaded Lookup Settings Panel .
  2. Click on the Subscription Status message to open the License Information dialog.

Step 2: Refresh Subscription Status

  1. In the License Information dialog, locate the Expiration Date field.
  2. Click the refresh icon (🔄) next to the Expiration Date to load the updated subscription status.
    • If you purchased a Site Subscription, the license type will update to Site.
    • If you purchased a Tenant Subscription, the license type will update to Tenant.

6. Subscription Details

Trial Period

  • The Cascaded Lookup App offers a 30-day trial from the first day of use. After the trial ends, a subscription must be purchased.

Subscription Types

The subscription is billed annually and is available in two types:

  1. Site Subscription:
    • No end-user limitations. All users in the site collection can access the app.
  2. Tenant Subscription:
    • No limitations on sites or site collections. All users can access the app across all sites or site collections within the same tenant.
